Diversity and Inclusion

Inclusion fosters a sense of belonging. Although many organizations might hire diverse individuals, sometimes, this is only to meet “quota requirements”. Such superficial hiring metrics do not foster an inclusive culture. True inclusion creates a space for every person within an organization and makes them feel welcomed, belonged, and heard. 

In this course, you will understand what diversity means and how to create a climate of inclusion. This is especially relevant where we interact with people from diverse cultures, ethnicities, and abilities. Each module will focus on a specific topic and provide knowledge and tools to allow every employee to have a positive work experience. At the end of each module, a quiz will allow you to assess your understanding. 

While this course focuses on promoting diversity and inclusion within the workplace, it is useful for everyone who wishes to promote social justice. The various modules will allow you to critically examine your personal beliefs, attitudes, and biases and after completing the course you will become more cognizant of the roadblocks to inclusion and how to mitigate these barriers. As our society becomes more polarized, knowledge can be a powerful tool to make informed decisions.
