About Workshop
The “Policy Insights from Climate and Environmental Datasets” is a one-day workshop designed to promote data-centric thinking and enhance data understanding in sustainability and public sector initiatives in Pakistan. The workshop aims to help participants explore essential data points that shape our development policies. In this 3-hours long session, attendees will learn to navigate and analyze key public datasets, with a special focus on those available on the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics website. This workshop is ideal for public sector professionals and those working in sustainability, climate change, and the development sector.
The first session of D2PI focused on the PSLM survey (Pakistan Social and Living Standard Measurement). This session will explore publicly available climate and environmental datasets.
Pre-requisites
Participants must have a laptop with Stata installed. No technical background is required but participants should have a basic understanding of working with datasets.

- Understanding the metadata and data collection methodology for datasets
- How to conduct analysis with key selected datasets
- How to effectively visualize and communicate the analysis

Yahya specializes in data management, statistical analysis, geo-spatial analysis, and data visualization. He uses tools such as Excel, Stata, R, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI to tackle complex problems and create positive social impact.
