About this Course
Policymaking and analysis have become complex due to nonhierarchical governance systems, overload of information, the democratization of policy agendas, and availability of quantitative and qualitative data.
Public policy impacts the lives of individuals and societies. Politicians, development practitioners, civil servants, journalists, and academics/students must analyze policies ex-ante and ex-post to make sense of the present and plan for the future. Further, agents of change and lobbies usually advocate their personal agendas by analyzing and influencing policies. Finally, the job market and grad admissions value the skill of policy analysis.
This workshop has been designed considering the needs of professionals, students, and academics. It will equip participants with the knowledge and tools to analyze policies qualitatively and quantitatively. The workshop will build on literature, international case studies, and comparative policy analysis to develop the capacity of participants with a special focus on Pakistan’s policy landscape.
