About this Course

Course Overview

This is a basic level course for starters. It is especially designed for Pakistani students between age 14-19. The course will explain basic syntax of python, programming concepts in general such as variables, iteratives, conditionals, and classes. This course will lay the foundation for students to study python in detail for a career oriented track.

Week 1:
Getting Started with Python
Python Data Types

Week 2:
Python Containers
Indentation; Comments and Documentation; Date and Time

Week 3:
Iteration & Loops Set

Week 4:
Variable Scope and Binding, Conditionals, Comparisons
Arrays (multi-dimensional arrays)

Week 5:
Dictionary & List; List; Tuple
Basic Input and Output; File & Folders I/O

Week 6:
Functions & Functional Programming
Data Exploration in Python; Data manipulation in Pandas

Module 2

(Pre-Requisite: Successfully finished Module 1 training, submitted all assignments and secured 60% in the final assessment.)

Week 7:
Data Cleaning; Data Imputation
Linear Regression; Plotting and Visualization

Week 8:
Data Analysis using Scikit Classification; Data Analysis using Scikit Clustering

Farah Mehboob

Farah Mehboob is a CS Trainer, who has 6 years of experience in professional training. She has taught courses on Artificial Intelligence, Python Programming, Business Intelligence and e-Commerce. She frequently speaks about Artificial Intelligence on various online forums. Farah is listed on United Nations Information Security-Hall of Fame.

Farah is an MS(CS) from IBA, Karachi. She is a visiting faculty at the Institute of Business Administration, where she teaches e-commerce and artificial intelligence. She is also the Founding Member of ASPIRE Pakistan, a network of overseas entrepreneurs, investors, and technology experts with a vision to make Pakistan socially and economically prosperous through innovation and entrepreneurship.
